It's about time you became a cult.

Dear Lady Verity;

I'm honoured...
And may I recommend a delightful book I began reading yesterday?
Here's a snippet from the introduction:

"Three generations, two wars and an economic crisis separate us from 1900;from that so called 'Belle Epoque'which fashion is now discovering...There is,however, another 1900--artistic and wordly, snobbish and equivocal, vibrant and febrile-the heroes of which belong to a Fable doomed to extinction at the outbreak of the 1914 War.Its portraits, now exhumed from our attics, seem as bizarre as those from Fayum or Knossos;Boldinis staggering under D'Annunzio's lash;opulent Sargents;Hellens stretched out by fashion on Louis XVI furniture;Mucha posters shrouding Europe in a web of Byzantine-Viennese lianas. These women are moths, dragonflies, praying mantises, created by perverse fashion and a chimerical heart..."

" Prince of Aesthetes:Count Robert de Montesquiou" by Phillippe Jullian

Kindest regards,

I've seen you around on sensaes' and cronopio's journal. You like art, and you're an INFP. I'm an ENFP. There aren't very many of us--we should hang together.

Ello. I've stumbled upon your journal and enjoyed the public entries you posted. I'm a fan of victoriana, the prb, ladies of ill repute, goff etc etc we have things in common etc. Shall we be friends?

I, too, have stumbled upon your journal and have greatly enjoyed your public entries. I think that the darkest bits of history are the most interesting, love Victoriana, and always let my imagination get the best of me. Also, I'm a 6'2 girl surrounded by a sea of 5'4s. I think we should be friends!

I have rung and wish to petition. I am rabble but also an INFP and a student of art history. My favourite adjective is 'dropsical' and my favourite verdict is 'wilful murder against some person or persons unknown'. If you will not take me in, at least give me a glass of something before I go. Ta.

You see, because one of your interests is '19th century twinks', there is in fact a law that says we simply must be friends.

Come in! Help yourself to the gin.

I've seen you on one of the PRB communities and became curious when I noticed your DGR icon, so I just had to have a look on your journal.

I'm an art history student (okay, postgrad student - calling myself an art historian stills sounds far too pretentious in my ears) and I'm in love with Rossetti, the PRB and lots of other 19th century stuff.
Uhm... and I'm not good at describing myself, just though I'd say hello because you seem like an interesting person.

I would love an ad. I saw your clever responce on the NMF group in regards to the ramones songs. I'm a fellow spiderfingers as well.

I was captivated by your blog and it appealed to my love of dark history.I will prewarn you though my blog alternates between perky rambling and morose venting and not very interesting. But I adored yours so perhaps my adoration will buy some points *grins*

Well hello - I spotted you after doing a search on Lizzie Siddal. It seems we have simply loads in common, as I hope a perusal of my profile might suggest. I am a PRB-ophile, fascinated by Victoriana, curios, mourning practices, novel-reading and pseudoscience. May I come in? x

Hello. You mentioned a post on my honey [livejournal.com profile] malakhgabriel's journal. We have a few interests in common, and you have some I'd like to know more about. Also, we both hang out at [livejournal.com profile] tx_cronopio's place. Would you be interested in friending?

I popped over to have a look at your profile after comments in [livejournal.com profile] seeking_ophelia and I wanted to say I found it quite fascinating in terms of interests and presentation. Amused to find your location as the 19th century.

Do we have a lot in common? Yes certainly in a combination of enthusiasm for things Gothic and 19th Century, for art and an interest (in my case a vocation) in the magical, mythical and occult.

Even across the years (or centuries) it is gratifying to find like-minded souls.

I've added you back.

This journal is basically for interacting with communities and posting my reviews and 'stuff'. I'd be very happy to also add you to my personal lj [livejournal.com profile] caersidi.

It used to be pretty much all friends only but now I just keep the more personal stuff under lock.

It's Aly (aka thischarmlessgirl) from AYNIM. I'm currently going around making a nuisance of myself by tracking down fellow forum members here on LJ.

Common interests? Well, according to your profile, we both like Morrissey (shock!), The Smiths, Oscar Wilde, writing and poetry.
